The U.S. Department of Education on Monday awarded the $3.4 million (€3.25 million) domain buy to the University of Arizona for its use in its flagship website, AZ.com.
The domain name for the University’s School of Computer Science, the university’s flagship website was purchased for $3,300,000 (€2,700,000).
The domain was created by the university in 1999 and has been a widely used one since.
The university says the purchase will improve the website’s accessibility.
The department of education is seeking to provide students with more information about the school, it said.
